- How do I uninstall ShoveBox?
-
Uninstalling ShoveBox is no different than it is for any other application on your Mac.
-
Make sure ShoveBox is quit. ShoveBox runs in the menubar and is NOT in the dock, so you will need to find the black cardboard box icon in your menubar. Click on this icon. A menu should come out. From the menu, select "Quit ShoveBox"
-
Drag the ShoveBox application icon to the trash. You'll need to locate it in the Finder to do this. If you don't know where it is, check your desktop, your Applications folder, and your downloads folder. If you still can't remember where you put it, try using Spotlight to find it.
-
Empty the trash.
-
- Where does ShoveBox keep my data?
-
ShoveBox keeps everything in a single database located in home -> Library -> Application Support -> ShoveBox -> ShoveBox Database.
(Note that the 'Library' folder in your home folder is a different one than the 'Library' folder at the root level of your hard drive.)
- Can ShoveBox sync multiple Macs together?
-
Mac-to-Mac syncing is not currently supported in ShoveBox, but it is something we are working on for a future release.
In the interim, some users report having success using Dropbox to sync their ShoveBox database. This approach isn't ideal or officially supported, but it's worth a try.
- Does ShoveBox sync with the iPhone?
-
Yes, ShoveBox has an iPhone app that can sync with the desktop app as of version 1.7.
- What is the upgrade policy for ShoveBox?
-
All 1.x upgrades to the ShoveBox app for Mac OS X are 100% free for existing customers.
Version 2.0 will be available for a nominal upgrade fee.
