I've been looking into adding tags to ShoveBox. However, I think even now, having labels, flags, and folders is quite redundant, and I'm looking for a way to combine all these systems into something clean and simple that still has the flexibility of tagging.

One possible solution ... since the window is accessible via a simple hotkey anyway ... mae it so that any outside-the-window action actually close the window. Its already an extra step for me to click the close window button, or have to have command-w ready as it is. I'm not familiar with how other people use the app though, maybe its necessary to keep it in the foreground longer for some tasks.

I would relate this suggestion to how dashboard works for some widgets. I can click/drag a file ... hit my dashboard hotkey, and drag the file to the widget that needs it, whereby my finger is already on my hotkey, now i just hit it again.

Sorry if thats incoherent, i'm sick, on drugs and haven't slept much :)

Hi Russ,

This has been suggested before. It would be pretty awesome to be able to bind a mouse button to the Organizer shortcut and let it toggle. However, I'm worried this behavior may confuse users who, for instance, might use the hotkey to bring the Organizer window to the front when it's already open (in a pile of windows). I'll find a solution. Stay tuned.

Thanks for your feedback!

I'm just checking out ShoveBox now and loving it. Great little app! One feature i might request would be the ability for my set hotkeys to 'toggle' the windows they bring up. I.E. hitting the hotkey twice for opening the organizer, should open and then close it. Hitting the hotkey twice for a new quickjot should open and then close the entry window IF I haven't typed anything yet. Great app, will consider purchasing.
