Today, Wonder Warp is announcing an iPhone/iPod version of ShoveBox that syncs wirelessly with the Mac version!
The new iPhone app has many of the features in the desktop app including folders, labels, comments, and the quick capture of incoming information.
One particularly useful feature is a bookmarklet for the Mac version that, when pressed, makes a complete archive of the current page for offline viewing on either device. You can also use a bookmark in the iPhone version of Safari to import the current page to ShoveBox.
The new iPhone app is available on the iTunes App Store for $3.99 USD and runs on any iPhone or iPod Touch with OS version 2.2 or higher. Existing users of the Mac app will need to download version 1.7 (a free upgrade) to enable syncing.

Hi,
Great release! When are you going to allow for mac2mac syncing? I find that the “shove the data dir into Dropbox” solution is not awesome because it seems your app writes to disk infrequently which means on two laptops you can quickly get out of state.
Consider this a feature request.
iPhone syncing is nice enough, but consider this another request for multi-Mac syncing through MobileMe. Collecting all of my junk in a database isn’t very useful if I still must have a separate database on each machine.
Would be great if items could be sent to the Mail application.
Items created on the iPhone do not sync to the desktop version. Rules do not work. Rules should allow opening of Automator workflows or applications.. that is when the rules work.
I find this app to be one of the more promising combinations of iPhone/Mac apps, but it needs some kinks worked out.
Items created on the iPhone *do* sync to the desktop version — that’s the whole point.
There *is* an issue if your clock on your iPhone is set a few minutes off from your Mac’s clock and you try to sync immediately after creating something on the iPhone but the time elapsed between the creation of the item and your sync is less than the time difference between the two devices. If that’s the case, it may think that you *deleted* the item since the last sync and would propagate the deletion to both devices.
I’m planning an update to fix this issue for people who don’t have their clocks set correctly — it will find the delta between the two and factor it in when syncing.
Also, rules do in fact work — can you tell me what makes you think they don’t, so that I can clear up any misconceptions/problems?
